R&D departments conduct research in the field of entertainment, electronics, digital communications and multimedia. R&D is at the heart of the Group's many activities, developing new ideas, enhancing productivity and implementing new designs in TV and electronics. The departments have groups who are actively working on high-end television design, digital receiver systems, interactive video systems and very large scale integration (VLSI) designs of integrated circuits (IC's). They use computer-aided design in the production of high-speed multilayer printed circuit boards (PCB's), digital image processing, audio & video compression, telecommunication protocols and radio frequency (RF) systems. Staff are encouraged to use basic scientific principles and apply them in solving real life product development problems. This technical experience combined with intimate market knowledge has ensured that Bahgat products remain of the highest quality and are recognised worldwide.
